The Castle Posters

Laurie O'Brien had adapted Franz Kafka for the
stage - utilitizing a unique mixture of puppets,
performers and animation. She wanted to convey
a sense of mysterious foreboding that would
only hint at the themes of the play.

I decided to create a two-part poster. The first
would be like a "coming attractions" trailer
for the show, describing only the dates, times,
and some dramatic imagery to draw in viewers.
The second poster, put up only days before the
show, would build on the original poster to flesh out
the title, credits and ticketing information.
